CLIENT POLICIES
PAYMENT
Unless otherwise arranged, full payment is due at time of service. I accept cash, Paypal, Venmo, and most major credit cards. HSA cards may be used in some cases. Please verify with your health plan administrator prior to your appointment to avoid out of pocket expenses. For new clients without referral, a valid credit card may be required to schedule an appointment.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE IN THE TIME OF COVID-19
I value and respect the importance of having healthy clients and so ask that my clients cancel their appointment if they are experiencing a communicable condition - especially and particularly if the symptoms are flu-like. The client may not have an active SARS-CoV-2 infection, but we must err on the side of caution and reschedule the appointment for when the client is feeling well again. While I do assess fees to folks who miss or forget appointments, I will always waive fees for clients that are sick. Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a contraindication for massage and the session will be canceled and client subject to the cancellation fee. Basic hygiene standards are appreciated, with the understanding that life can get in the way of our plans - so please do not think the appointment must be canceled because you haven't showered. (That has happened!)
INITIAL SESSION
At the first visit, each client will be required to complete certain forms, including but not limited to a health history questionnaire, the client policies form, and a Covid-19 form. The health history must be updated on a yearly basis, or more frequently as needed as client health conditions change.
LATENESS
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for each client and I must keep a tight schedule for two important reasons: In order to accommodate full room air cleaning between clients, and to allow time to clean all high-touch surfaces between sessions. A minimum of 30 minutes will be scheduled between sessions to allow for the air purifier to operate completely and if a client is running late, their session will be shortened in order to accommodate other appointments that follow theirs. Depending upon the lateness, I will determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, the client will be responsible for the *full* session. Out of respect and consideration to me and other clients, please keep these policies in mind and plan accordingly to arrive on time.
CANCELLATION AND RIGHT TO REFUSE
A 24-hour cancellation notice is required. If I do not receive this notice, the client may be assessed a $75 cancellation fee, to be paid prior to any further service. Emergency cancellations with fee waived are determined at my discretion. I reserve the right to refuse service to any client for any reason.
GUARDIAN CONSENT
If a client is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian consent form must be completed prior to the massage.
SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Massage is entirely therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. Sexual misconduct of any kind will not be tolerated. This means no sexual comments, suggestions, innuendos, or touching. If a client disregards this policy, the session will be terminated, the client will be assessed the full and complete fee for their services, regardless of early termination, and will be asked to leave. The misconduct will be thoroughly documented, and I will provide any and all documentation to authorities as required by law.
